How it all began…
In 2001, we purchased a house in Zaragoza Coahuila, Mexico.
The following summer, the Lord revealed to us that this
ranch should be a home for missionaries to stay while they
were doing the Lord's work in Mexico.
The cost for accommodations for missionaries in Mexico is so
expensive that most missionaries can’t afford to come. The
first summer, we had a total of 65 missionaries to stay at
the ranch!
God has established this ranch so that missionaries can come
to Mexico and join with us to reach the lost for Jesus. God
is definitely using this ranch. Several Hispanic church
groups have come to the ranch to baptize their members. Some
of the church groups come from Texas, as we are only one
hour from the Texas/Mexico border.
Come and see for yourself!
About Fernando Martinez...
My wife and I founded this ministry. We, with God’s help,
began and helped maintain the running of the Ranch. I am
originally from the Zaragoza area. I was born and raised
there. I have been away living in the states for the past
twenty years and during that time. God has blessed me and my
family so much that I want to share that blessing with my
people.
My heart is for the children of Mexico. I enjoy playing with
them and instilling some hope for a better, brighter future
with Jesus. I want to show them that they too can make
something of themselves and make a life for their families.
My biggest time of the year is Christmas. I dress up as
Santa Clause and walk around with the kids, I then pass out
toys to the kids along with candy. None of them have ever
seen Santa, so I wanted to bring them joy by playing Santa
and giving them toys.
About Debra Martinez…
In 1999, I began working with the Women’s Ministry at my
church. I also began working with cell ministry, security
ministry, children’s ministry as well as the security at the
Christian school. However, my heart kept taking me back to
the women and children in Mexico. God really gave me a heart
for women in pain.
The first thing that grabbed my attention when I went to
Mexico was that so many people were hungry for the Word of
God, and they just want someone to hold them when they
cried. Sometimes, when I visited a colony for the first
time, it seemed like I had known the people all my life.
They welcomed me as if I were an old friend. Though I don’t
speak their language, it’s like we understand one another.
To see the smiles on their faces when we serve them, always
brings me joy.
About Sonya Daniel…
I have been working with the Ranch since it first began,
when it was just my Mom, Dakota, and me. The way it has
changed has been so drastic! Not only has the Ranch changed
physically, but it has changed me spiritually as well. Many
improvements and additions have been made and it is just
beautiful! I feel differently about the Ranch because of how
being a part of this ministry has changed me. It has made me
realize how fortunate we are. We have no room to complain,
or even any right to be selfish. This is how the Ranch
changed me.
About Christina Martinez…
I have been working with the Ranch for 6 years now. My first
trip to Mexico was during Christmas when we were giving away
Christmas stockings filled with toys and goodies for the
children. The things I saw that Christmas changed my future.
When I entered Mexico, the first thing that caught my eye
was the poverty level. People lived in cardboard boxes, and
in terrible conditions. This really touched my heart. It was
at this time that I began translating for my Aunt Debra and
have been ever since.
I also interpret for pastors and others that speak and pray.
As I’ve grown up with the Ranch, God has molded me to the
person I am today, and He has shown me that He has a great
calling on my life. I will never be able to forget the
impact the Ranch has made on my life.
About Dakota Martinez…
I have been working with Rancho Dos Countries since it’s
beginning. I help with the labor when we go out to all the
colonies. I believe that Christmas is our most impacting
time of the year. I also have been praying that God will
send us more laborers, because the ministry is growing and
so are the people in Mexico.
